Experienced PHP Developer

We're looking for an experienced PHP developer to join our team to help design, build, maintain and improve a range of web apps plus contribute to functional specifications for new projects.

The Ideal candidate will be an expert in PHP with strong SQL skills. You'll display excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Ideally you'll have knowledge of Ruby, JavaScript, CSS, XML, HTML, Apache, Linux and WML.

Essential Skills

  • PHP (3+ year's commercial experience)
  • SQL skills (experience of PostgreSQL an added bonus)

Desired skills & Qualifications

  • Project management experience
  • Knowledge of Ruby, JavaScript, CSS, XHTML, XML, Apache, Linux, WML
  • Object-oriented program design
  • Computer Science Degree
  • Experience of application development with an emphasis on user experience

Experienced Web Designer

We are looking to recruit an experienced Web Designer to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have worked commercially as a web designer and preferably have had prior involvement in the design of web-based applications.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Working with other team members to develop concepts, working models and final live websites and applications
  • Maintaining and improving our existing portfolio of websites & web applications

Essential Skills

  • CSS, XHTML (hand coded, W3C-compliant)
  • Modern, DOM-friendly Javascript
  • Fireworks or Photoshop and Illustrator or Freehand
  • Flash
  • Practical experience of user-centred design
  • Understanding of SEO and of creating semantic XHTML

Desired skills & Qualifications

  • Knowledge of JavaScript, Apache, Linux, WML
  • Related Arts/Design degree

Marketing and PR Executive (Part-Time)

We're looking to recruit an experienced part-time marketing and PR executive to help with our communication and business development strategy.

The ideal candidate will be hardworking, entrepreneurial, with a willingness to learn and understands the importance of user experience and brand consistency.

Commercial experience within an agency environment is essential.

What You Will Be Doing

You will be responsible for ensuring the successful targeting and development of relevant media contacts, development and management of a target client database, writing of press releases and proofing of editorial generated by other members of staff.

You will be the key contact within the agency for Media and target clients and will be responsible for supporting and strengthening relationships through regular communications (face-to-face, written, phone, email). A key measurement of your success will be the increased presence of our profile within appropriate media.

You will be required to research target client markets, identifying suitable organizations and discovering key contact details. Research will need to be undertaken thoroughly and via multiple channels. The maintenance of a target client database is a vital part of the role.

You will have an editorial role in all material produced by the company and will be directly responsible for the production of press releases.

The position is suited to someone who wishes to work part-time and although some office-based time is required much of the work could be undertaken off-site. It is expected that the person will be employed for 1 day per week initially although this may increase dependent upon the success of the role.

Key Requirements

  • PR/Marketing experience within an agency environment
  • Excellent communication skills (written, face-to-face, telephone)
  • An understanding of web technologies especially web standards
